An Ooltewah woman and her seven-year-old daughter were severely injured in a traffic crash Monday morning.
Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office were called to 6420 Ooltewah-Georgetown Road at approximately 7:46 a.m. When deputies arrived they found that a 1974 Ford F-350 flatbed truck driven by Tracey Trosclair, 35, of Ooltewah crashed into the front of a 2011 Mazda SUV driven by Claudia Ek, 42, of Ooltewah.
Ms. Ek suffered severe injuries in the crash and was trapped in the vehicle. Following extrication, Ms. Ek was transported to Erlanger via Life Force Air Medical.
Her seven-year-old daughter was transported by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services to Children’s Hospital with critical injuries.
Mr. Trosclair was transported to Erlanger via Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services, where he was treated and released.
The investigation into the crash is being handled by Deputy Eddie Sledge, investigator with the HCSO Traffic Division.
