Lightning Is Suspected Cause Of Monday House Fire

Monday, August 13, 2012

East Ridge Fire/Rescue and Police responded to a house fire at 3719 Connelly Ln. on Monday afternoon.  Firefighters arrived on the scene in just two minutes to find heavy smoke coming from the area of the attic.

The four occupants had safely evacuated as firefighters established an interior attack. Firefighters found heavy fire engulfing much of the attic and were able to contain the fire to the attic and prevented it from spreading to the remainder of the home.
