Yellow Dubmarine Plays At Riverfront Nights Saturday

Tuesday, August 14, 2012

Riverfront Nights Summer Music Series will feature Yellow Dubmarine on Saturday. This upbeat reggae/ska band will take the stage at 8 p.m.

Review for Yellow Dubmarine:

Forty years after four legendary musicians known as the Beatles crafted a classic album named for the studio they made famous, another group of supremely talented musicians re-imagined that same album in their own unique way calling themselves Yellow Dubmarine. This band finds new life in all of the legendary album's 17 songs, keeping the heart of each tune present, but simultaneously re-creating them in an entirely new light.

Local band, Endezlous, will open at 7 p.m. with indie-rock.

Saturday's "On the Green" event is Tennessee-American's Water Conservation Night.

All shows are child and pet friendly. Doors open and beer sales begin at 6:30 p.m. Local opening bands start around 7 p.m. and headliners kick into high gear promptly at 8 p.m., playing till 10-ish.

Eco-friendly businesses and charities will gather at the "green/spaces" tent with Gaining Ground.  Under the Pup Tent at the 'Dog Pound' will be: Wally's Friends.
