Glenford W. Snead, 46, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at his residence.

He was a nurse at Memorial Hospital for many years. He cared about the environment, loved animals and enjoyed traveling. Glenford never met a stranger. He was of the Church of Christ faith. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Preston E. Snead. 

He is survived by his mother, Georgia Snead of Cleveland; life partner, Michael L. Dunn of Ooltewah; brothers, Mark Adam Snead and Preston T. Snead and wife, La Christa, all of Cleveland; niece, Nikita Snead; nephew, Scott Snead; several aunts and uncles; and special friend, Kalani Michael Palani of Cleveland. 

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 17, at 2 p.m. at Lee Cemetery in McDonald. 

His family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 16 at Grissom Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.

Heuser, Valetta Jean (Rock Spring)

Valetta Jean Heuser, 93, of Rock Spring, died on Monday, May 20, 2013 in a local hospital. Hayden Lamar Lasley, 60, of Hixson, died on Monday, May 20, 2013.   He was a longtime area girls softball coach for more than 35 years. Rogers, 20, Shot Twice While Standing On His Porch

A 20-year-old man was shot twice while standing on his porch on Monday night. At approximately 8:44 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting that occurred in the 1900 block of Walker Street.
