Man Is Injured While Protecting His Father Wednesday Night

A 22-year-old man was suffered an injury in his leg Wednesday night at the Days Inn in Bradley County.  

The victim and his father are construction workers at the Wauker Plant in Charleston. Reports were that the son and father were approached by two white men. One had a knife and allegedly approached the father. The son, in an effort to protect his father, tried to kick the knife and sustained a wound to his leg. 

The patient was treated on scene by EMS and transported to Sky Ridge Medical Center in stable condition.  

The incident is under investigation by the Cleveland Police Department.



Pair Charged After Items In Stolen Vehicle Traced To Break-In On Walker Road

Police have arrested two men after items found in a stolen vehicle they were driving were traced to a break-in on Walker Road. Charged with aggravated burglary were Tailar Ross Rhinehart, 27, of 355 Whasha Lane, and Kevin Wayne Cook, 28, of 6460 Highway 27. Baylor's Popp Wins First Spring Fling State Title
