NewsChannel 9 To Stay On Dish

An agreement has been reached for NewsChannel 9 to stay on the Dish Network.

Sinclair Broadcast Group announced that it "has reached agreement in principle with Dish Network on a new retransmission consent agreement and has entered into a two week extension of its existing agreement in order to allow the parties to work toward a final agreement.

"We thank our viewers for their patience and support during these negotiations."

Atwood Gets 9-Year Prison Sentence In Traffic Death Of Friend

A man who police said was traveling 70 miles per hour on a side street in St. Elmo when he wrecked and killed one of his close friends was sentenced Monday to nine years in prison.
