Kessler, Marsha Lin (Summerville)

Marsha Lin Kessler, 50, of Summerville, GA, died Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Floyd Medical Center.

Mrs. Kessler was born February 9, 1962 in Annapolis, MD, the daughter of the late John Glendon Cordle, Sr. and Irene Virginia Johnson Cordle. She was Employed at LaFayette Health Care. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, James Lamar Cordle.

Mrs. Kessler is survived by a son, Tony McAllister; daughters, Angela Summerlin, and husband George Robert Summerlin, Jr. and Erica McAllister; brothers, John Cordle, Jr., Lester Cordle, Ronnie Cordle and Don Cordle; grandchildren, Austin McAllister, Tyshaun Summerlin, Darren Summerlin, Karina Summerlin, Melanae McAllister and Cierra Cherry; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. Saturday, August 18, at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Alan Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Kessler will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 17.

Dog Fighting Operation Uncovered On Talledega Avenue

TBI was executing a narcotics search warrant at 6302Talladega Ave. in Chattanooga on Friday and uncovered a dog fighting operation. City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge.
