Bobby Lamar Carnes, 62, of Lyerly, GA, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012, at his residence. 

A Chattooga County native, he was born to the late Joseph Lonzo and Barbara Patterson Carnes on July 25, 1950. He was retired from Best Mfg. Company dipping plant and the City of Lyerly. 

Surviving are his wife, Debbie Potter Carnes; daughters, Pamela Christine Archer of Trion and Kimberly & Eric Brown of Lyerly; sons, Joey L. & Amanda Carnes and Bobby Ray & Nikki Carnes all of Lyerly; sisters, Charlotte & Job Maxson of Coldwater, Mich., Sandra & Harold DeBerry of Summerville; brother, Calvin Carnes of Albany, TX; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Danny Chamlee; and mother & father-in-law, Katheryn & Joe Potter. 

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 19 at 3 p.m. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Brown officiating, interment in Lyerly Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Joseph DeBerry, Lamar DeBerry, Ryan Brown, Lee Pruitt, Danny Chamlee and Dennis Moseley; Honorary Pallbearers will be all Med Dogger Friends. 

The Family will receive friends Sunday, August 19 from 1-3 p.m. at the Earle Rainwater Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
