Sampson, Michael Shane (Dalton)

Michael Shane Sampson, 40, of Dalton, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. 

He was a member of Highland Church of Christ and was a very giving man with a big heart who loved to take care of everybody. He was an avid collector and a great salesman. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother. 

Shane is survived by his wife, Amy Hamilton Sampson of the residence; son, Dakota Sampson; daughter, Madi Sampson both of Dalton; sister, Leigh Price of Dalton; father, Danny Sampson of Dalton; mother, Sandi Gilbert of Dalton; special friends, Allen and Charlene Headrick; special aunt, Barbara Hewitt; and other aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 3 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Tyler Gilreath officiating. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery with Ted Mader, Buck Bryson, Kelly Burkett, James Maddox, Tim Welch and Don Simms serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Sharp, Michael Boyd, Andy Hewitt, Jeff Hewitt and Ted Hogshead.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Thursday, August 2 from 5-8 p.m. 

Love Funeral Home, 1402 N. Thornton Ave., Dalton (across from Hamilton Medical Center) is in charge of arrangements.
