Frances Loretta McPherson, 88, of Cleveland, TN, died on Monday, August 20, 2012 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease, was surrounded by loyal nurses and family.
Frances was a devoted pastor’s wife for most of her life, being very dedicated to all the roles she was asked to perform. Her abundant love for church and family was displayed in every aspect of her life. Frances’s love for family needs and welfare seemed to bring her the most pleasure in her life. She was a CNA at Garden Terrance in Cleveland for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Hazel Estep; and sister, Christi Lee McPherson.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, the Reverend John L. McPherson of Cleveland; three children, Carolyn Hodges of Sumter, SC, Kerry McPherson of Cleveland and Rodney McPherson of Richmond, VA; seven grandchildren; sister, Louise Baker of Tucson, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with Dr. G. Dennis McGuire and Pastor Fred Mercer officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12-1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 23 at the Grissom Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
