Three workshops are held each year across the State of Tennessee. DAR members are given new information, share information and ideas from their own chapters and review the policies and commitments of the DAR.
Each region of the State holds a workshop to enable as many members to attend as possible. The Nancy Ward Chapter attended the program in Lenoir City. Pam McConnell, Cherokee District director and Nancy Ward member, was one of the leaders of the workshop.
There were sessions on different officers duties and responsibilities, programs and school awards and public relation techniques to get the DAR message to the public. There was also a DAR "Mall“ with displays of the different programs to which the DAR is committed. Participants come home with new ideas, answered questions and are ready to put it all to work.
