The Lady Chargers of Chattanooga Christian improved their early season record to 3-1-0 overall on Saturday evening, winning their own tournament with a 3-1 victory over Knoxville Powell.
Powell beat Cleveland 3-1 in the early semifinal game on Saturday and CCS beat Tullahoma 3-0.
CCS was able to score early in the championship game against Powell when Hannah Henry redirected a corner kick from her sister Ellie Henry in the second minute. The score remained 1-0 for the rest of the half.
Allie Sullivan scored on a penalty kick after a hand ball in the Powell box. Powell pulled within one goal but Ellie Henry put the game away late with a goal off a restart.
CCS outshot Powell 12-4.
