Lee University will welcome Dr. Tony Campolo as a chapel speaker on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 10:40 a.m. in the Conn Center.
Dr. Campolo is an ordained minister, has served American Baptist Churches in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and has authored 39 books. He currently serves as Professor Emeritus of Sociology at Eastern University in St. Davids, Penn.
In addition to his academic responsibilities, Dr. Campolo is the founder and president of the Evangelical Association for the Promotion of Education. Through the EAPE, he has been able to develop and support programs for “at-risk” children across North America.
Dr. Campolo is also an active media commentator, being featured as a guest on television and radio shows across the world.
He earned a PhD from Temple University and his undergraduate degree from Eastern College.
Dr. Campolo and his wife, Peggy, live in the Philadelphia area and have two children and four grandchildren.
Lee University Conn Center is located on the corner of Parker and 11th Street in Cleveland. Chapel is designed for student worship, but the community is always welcome to attend.
