Four additional organizations have signed on to the Wild Hog Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency hosted a signing event in conjunction with the recently-held Land & Wildlife Expo at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center.
The latest organizations to sign on to the MOU are the Quality Deer Management Association, The Nature Conservancy Tennessee Chapter, Natural Resources Conservation Service Tennessee, and The Land Trust for Tennessee. The Wild Hog MOU partnership has now grown to 19 organizations.
The Wild Hog MOU is an agreement between organizations to work cooperatively toward controlling wild hogs in Tennessee.
The partnership’s goals are to stop the illegal transportation and translocation of wild hogs, increase outreach efforts and assist landowners with wild hog problems. The coalition includes organizations representing agriculture, conservation, public health, and hunting.
