Baylor Names 16 Round Table Members

Sixteen students have been selected for the Baylor 2012-13 Round Table.

Since its founding in 1942, this literary discussion group has emphasized independent thought and lively debate. To be selected is among the school's highest honors. 

Esther Park and Amethyst Evans will serve as co-presidents and Carley Hawkins was elected as secretary. Other members are Shauna Bowes, Aliza Cohen, Mary Crowell, Eric Heikkenen, Lauren Johnson, Alice Jones, Michelle Lee, Cheyanne Leonnardo, Morgan Long, Macy Mantooth, Esther Park, Madeline Rose, Sara Stockett, Will Temple, Kimberlee John-Williams, and Jacob Wirz.

English instructor Heather Ott serves as the group's faculty sponsor.


Rossville Native Named To University Of West Georgia 30 Under 30 List

The University of West Georgia Alumni Association has announced the first top 30 Under 30 list for 2013. Larry Johnson Named Dalton State Business School Dean; Other Faculty Promoted

By a unanimous vote of the faculty of Dalton State’s School of Business, Dr. Larry Johnson has been named the new Dean, and Dr. Mike D’Itri has been named Associate Dean.  Dr. Johnson, also named Professor of Economics, has served the last year as Interim Dean and previously was Associate Dean. 3 Charged In Raleigh With Murder Of Former Cleveland, Tn., Woman

Three people have been charged in Raleigh, N.C., with the murder last week of a 30-year-old woman, who had just moved from Cleveland, Tn. Arrested for the slaying of Melissa Dawn Huggins-Jones were Ronald Lee Anthony, 23; Sarah Rene Redden, 18, and Travion Devonte Smith, 20.
