A woman with a gun was arrested at a downtown bank on Thursday in what police said was a domestic incident.
At approximately 12:56 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a reported robbery at Capital Mark Bank & Trust at 801 Broad St. When officers arrived, they found that the suspect, 42-year-old Zoya Zakwan, had entered the bank and pointed a handgun at an employee. The suspect fled the scene, but was quickly apprehended by a Chattanooga Police Bike Patrol supervisor.
It was reported to officers that Ms. Zakwan, who was scantily clad, did not attempt to rob the bank, but that it was a domestic incident with the bank employee.
Ms. Zakwan was arrested for two counts of aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a firearm
