Fleischmann Gets Calls Of Congratulations From Bhalla, Mayfield, But Not Wamp

Friday, August 03, 2012

Congressman Chuck Fleischmann said Friday he had received calls of congratulation from two of his campaign opponents. He made no mention of Weston Wamp.

"Over the last two years, I have traveled across the 3rd District and listened and learned from my constituents about the issues that concern them the most. I know the most important concern in our District is getting people back to work. Our friends and neighbors continue to suffer because of the economy. I believe that my real life experiences will help change the reckless spending habits of Washington and stop President Obama's liberal agenda," Fleischmann said.

"I find all the motivation I’ll ever need when I look at my children because I know that working together we will return the promise of the American dream to their generation and beyond.

"I renew my commitment to the 3rd District now – I will never forget who I work for. I will always seek their advice and counsel, and when we win in November, I will continue to be their voice in Washington.

"I want to thank Scottie Mayfield and Ron Bhalla for their calls of congratulations; both are fine men. One of my biggest weaknesses is my love of Mayfield ice cream, and I look forward to sitting down with Scottie – hopefully over some milk or ice cream – and talking about the conservative principles and solutions we both believe in."
