Labor Day Picnic Planned For Sunday At First Baptist

There will be a covered-dish family picnic at Dogwood Lodge of First Baptist Church, 401 Gateway Ave., at 6 p.m. on Sunday. 

Dr. Thomas Quisenberry will speak at the 11 a.m. worshp service on "Voice of the Turtledove," with text from Song of Solomon 2:8-13 and Mark 7.

Daryl Black, from the Chattanooga History Center, will be the guest speaker for the First Friends luncheon on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Reservations should be made by Sept. 2 at 648-2543 or frances@fbccchattanooga.org

A Ladies' brunch and clothing swap will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Fellowship Hall at the church. Bring a covered dish to share and items of clothing to swap. Shoes and accessories welcome. RSVP to Ann-Marie Blentliger at 423 886-5664.

The WMU fall luncheon will be on Monday, Sept. 10, at noon in Fellowship Hall. Maggie Quisenberry and Allison Sepulveda will report on the youth mission trip to Puerto Rico this past summer.
