Driver Has To Be Freed From Vehicle After Hitting Power Pole On Dayton Pike

A car crashed into a power pole on Dayton Pike on Monday afternoon and the driver had to be freed from the wreckage.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was called to14700 Dayton Pike on the single-vehicle wreck at 4:33 p.m. When deputies arrived on the scene they found that the driver of a 2006 Lincoln Continental had been traveling southbound on Dayton Pike when he crossed the northbound lanes. The vehicle left the roadway and hit a power pole. 

The driver was trapped in the vehicle for a time and, after he was removed by medical personnel, he was transported to an area hospital by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services for treatment of the injuries he sustained in the crash.

The cause of the crash is being investigated by Deputy Robert Stockburger.
