RE: District 10 Senate Race

With all due respect to my friend, Wes Kliner and others who hold a similar viewpoint, it is a bit off the mark in stating that one editorial placed one day before the final election day had enough “dramatic” impact to swing the District 10 state senate election.

Early voting had already been completed and most election day voters had already made up their minds by the time the editorial was printed.

Matter of fact, the final election results were very close to internal tracking numbers of the Gardenhire campaign. The margin, however, was actually tighter than projected so Vital actually picked up a few more votes in the final hours of the campaign.

What won this primary election for Todd Gardenhire is what wins most elections, a good candidate willing to work extremely hard, a very sound strategic plan with a positive message and flawless execution.

It was a textbook campaign and I am proud of Todd and the end result.

Now, on to the general election.

Todd will make a fine state senator from Hamilton County.

Central Rolls Past Hixson In Surprise District 6-AA Romp

The Hixson Wildcats have played a lot of close basketball games this season, but Tuesday's District 6-AA clash at Central wasn't one of them. The Purple Pounders have been hit hard with season-ending injuries as three key players are out with ACL tears while a fourth suffered a broken leg a few weeks back. Despite all of that, there are still some talented players on the Central ... (click for more)
