Chattanooga Theatre Centre Holds Auditions For Two Shows

Auditions for two shows -- one Youth Theatre and one Spotlight Series -- will be held on Monday and Tuesday, at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre.
 
Youth Theatre: Bunnicula, a play about a vampire bunny who sucks the juice from vegetables, calls for seven actors: one girl, three boys, and three characters who can be played by either boys or girls.
Maria Chattin-Carter directs. This is not a musical. Actors in grades four through twelve are encouraged to audition. Auditions are Monday and Tuesday in the Circle lobby at 4:30. The production is September 28 through October 7.
 
Spotlight Series: God of Carnage is a dark comedy about two sets of parents who meet to resolve an altercation between their 11-year-old sons. Director Chuck Tuttle is looking for two men and two women in their 30s to 40s to play the parents. Auditions are Monday and Tuesday at 7:30 in the Circle Lobby. This production is October 12 - 28.

Jericho Brass To Perform At Lake Katoomba May 25

Man Stabbed To Death After Argument

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night. At approximately 11 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a stabbing at 101 E 20 th St. where they found the victim, Alexis Lewis, 51, lying on the walkway with a fatal stab wound to his chest. Baker Says City Withdrawal On Riverbend Security Will Make Pin Costs Rise Next Year

Riverbend Festival Executive Director Chip Baker told the Civitan Club on Friday that the city's decision to no longer provide city police officers inside the festival gates will cost pin prices to go up next year.
