James “Jimmy” Coleman Miller, 72, of Dalton, GA, passed away Tuesday, August 07, 2012 at his residence.

He was born in Chattanooga, TN on March 30, 1940 and was a master brick and stone mason his whole life. A proud member of Central Church of Christ, a former Army reservist and a 1958 graduate of Dalton High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Caesar Miller, Sr. & Estell Viola Bonner Miller; a brother, Marion Douglas Miller; and two sisters, Juanita Sue Dyer and Patricia Ann Miller.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Gayle Walters Miller; two sons, James “Jimmy” Coleman Miller and wife Shawna Miller and Joseph Jason Miller of Atlanta; daughter, Landra Gayle Jenkins and husband Tim Jenkins; five grandsons, Hank Miller, Sawyer Miller, Josiah Jenkins, Jacob Jenkins and Isaac Jenkins; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Pat Beavers and Donna & Nathan Parker; brothers & sisters-in-law, Cecil & Dorothy Miller, Delano & Frances Miller, Willie Miller, Steve & Linda Miller, Travis & Kim Miller, Norman Miller, Larry & Sharon Miller, Bennie & Linda Miller and Bobby & Joyce Baliles; step-mother, June Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, August 10, at 4 p.m. at the Central Church of Christ with Bro. Brian Collins and Bro. Ross Jordan officiating. The body will lie in state 1 hour at the church before the funeral service. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home Thursday, August 9 from 5-9 p.m.

Williamson, Betty Faye (Copperhill)

Betty Faye Williamson, 54, of Copperhill, died on May 16, 2013.  She was born in Salisbury, N..,C and raised in Chattanooga. She worked at Animal Clinic East for 12 years and was a big animal lover.
