The Nashville Business Journal announced its 2012 list of the accounting industry’s Power Leaders, 40 area accountants considered the “key leaders driving the profession in the Music City”. Four LBMC partners were among the city’s finest, including LBMC Tax Partner, Jeff Drummonds and LBMC Healthcare Practice Leader Greg Eli, with co-managing partners, Mike Cain and David Morgan achieving the impressive “Top 10” distinction.


Firm founders and co-managing partners Mike Cain and David Morgan were not only recognized as Power Leaders in Accounting, but were named to the “Top 10” as accountants making waves in their industry and considered true leaders by their peers.


Mike Cain, a certified public accountant and personal financial specialist, has diversified experience with a variety of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, construction, real estate, services, restaurants and others. He frequently consults on business matters with closely held businesses and their owners, often with merger and acquisition situations, and has provided investment advisory services to high-wealth individuals.


David Morgan, a certified public accountant and personal financial specialist as well, has a wide range of experience in accounting, auditing, and tax. In addition to working with family owned businesses, he also heads the firm's Family Office practice where he works with high- wealth individuals and family groups. Services provided to these individuals include personal financial planning, estate planning, retirement planning, insurance consulting and investment advisory services.


Jeff Drummonds is the partner in charge of tax services at LBMC and has extensive experience in delivering value-added tax services to clients in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, retail and distribution, technology and healthcare. Over the course of his twenty-four year career, he has coordinated tax services to over twenty public companies and has been involved with numerous venture capital transactions and SEC filings. Mr. Drummond has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, tax accounting issues, state and local tax planning and tax outsourcing engagements.


Greg Eli brings over 25 years of experience in public accounting and healthcare to his role as leader of LBMC’s healthcare practice. He is responsible for the firm’s strategic direction, development of solutions and service delivery to address the ever-changing needs of the healthcare industry. Mr. Eli is a healthcare partner in the accounting and assurance practice, serving on a number of healthcare engagements which include for-profit and not-for-profit healthcare organizations. He continues to be active in several local and national boards and committees related to the healthcare industry, including The Leading Edge Alliance, Nashville Health Care Council and Tennessee Society of CPAs.  


Husch Blackwell And Brown McCarroll Agree To Join Forces
