Creative Discovery Museum Collects Instruments For Folk School Of Chattanooga

Creative Discovery Museum and Folk School of Chattanooga are partnering for an instrument drive to benefit both organizations' outreach programs at Creative Discovery Museum on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 1-3 p.m. Instruments needed include banjos, guitars, violins, dulcimers, wind instruments and drums. Instruments in any condition are welcome and donations will be divided between Creative Discovery Museum and Folk School of Chattanooga.

“Creative Discovery Museum is in need of string instruments for a preschool outreach program. Folk School of Chattanooga is in need of instruments for music classes,” said Liza Blair, Arts Manager at Creative Discovery Museum. “Working together is a great example of how two organizations can join creative forces for a similar goal.”

The Folk School Kids String Band will perform for guests from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Musical performances by the Folk School Kids String Band are included in paid admission to the Museum. Donations can be dropped-off at the Ticket Desk. Donations are also welcome after the Sept. 15 event. For more information, call 648-6069.
