Dr. Grady Bogue, retired University of Tennessee professor of leadership and policy studies, has been named interim chancellor at UTC. He takes the post on Sept. 20.
Chancellor Roger Brown recently announced that he was stepping down.
Dr. Brown and Dr. Joseph DiPietro, president of the University of Tennessee, made the announcement at a press conference at 1 p.m. in the Chattanooga Room of the UTC University Center.
Dr. Bogue was chancellor of LSU-Shreveport from 1980-1991 and for a year was the interim LSU chancellor.
He has been at UT in Knoxville since 1991. He retired earlier this year from the professorship.
