Party Like A Rock Star And Support Pulmonary Research Nov. 3

Set to the backdrop of American Bandstand, the Party Like a Rock Star event supporting the American Lung Association in Tennessee's pulmonary disease research and educational programs is set for Saturday, Nov. 3, at 6:30 p.m. in the ballroom of the Marriott at the Convention Center in downtown Chattanooga.

Drs. Carlos and Jennifer Keats Baleeiro and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hobson are the event co-chairs which is sponsored by Memorial Health Care Systems. 

In honor of the American Bandstand era, guests are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite rock star costumes as they party to the sounds of DJ Fred Watson and Jay Cotton. The evening's agenda includes cocktails, silent auction, special vendors, a five-course gourmet dinner, "Rock Star" acknowledgement, program, live auction and karaoke. Prizes will be awarded to the best rock star costumes.

Summer Programs Begin At Chickamauga And Chattanooga National Military Park

Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will host summer programs at Chickamauga Battlefield and Lookout Mountain Battlefield. City Council Ad Hoc Committee To Study Moving Elections To August, Adding More Districts, Staggering Terms
