Alison Lebovitz, author, speaker, WTCI television host of "The A List with Alison Lebovitz,” philanthropist and chair for the 2012 United Way Campaign, will share her insights on parenting, life, faith, the power of the written word, the value of libraries, and much more, at the Friends of the Library Annual Meeting, on Friday, Oct. 19, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre.
The Friends of the Library will hold a brief business meeting prior to her talk. During the meeting, Corinne Hill, executive director of the Chattanooga Public Library, will update guests on current and future library projects.
“Alison is a sought after speaker around the country. We are particularly grateful that she values the library and its mission, and has agreed to be our speaker,” said Jeanne Brice, Friends of the Library Executive Council member. “This event will kick of Friends of the Library Week. We invite the public and encourage everyone to attend.” Mrs. Lebovitz’s book, Are We There Yet, will be available for purchase after her talk.
Parking tickets will be validated from the parking lot adjacent to the Theatre Centre. The luncheon will be catered by My Family Dinners. Costco will provide dessert and flowers.
