DeBarge Vineyards & Winery Hosts Bridal Open House

DeBarge Vineyards & Winery will host an open house on Sunday, from 1-5 p.m. Both the winery and vineyard locations will be open for tours.

Brides, grooms, and special event hosts are invited to the open house. DeBarge representatives will be available to guide tours, answer questions, and book events.

DeBarge Winery is Chattanooga’s first, and only, urban winery. Located in the heart of Chattanooga’s Southside Arts District, the winery offers a tasting room and rental space for meetings and parties. Glass walls in the winery allow guests a front row view into the winemaking process. Officials said, "The winery is ideal to visit and enjoy wine before dinner and for intimate special events for up to 65 guests.

"DeBarge Vineyards is located 20 miles south of downtown Chattanooga, in Lafayette, Ga. It is the picture perfect location for weddings and special events able to accommodate up to 350 guests for a cocktail style party. The vineyard offers a bridal suite, on-site kitchen, roof-top deck, and hand-hewn, post and bend pavilion elegantly framed by views of Pigeon Mountain and rows of vines."

Ladies’ Leisure Ride Is Sunday

The Ladies’ Leisure Ride is a slow-paced cruise through downtown Chattanooga, just for the ladies. Ride For Freedom Motorcycle Events Fights Human Trafficking

Second Life of Chattanooga and The Zion Project are partnering to host the Ride for Freedom, a motorcycle poker run on Saturday, June 1. Woman Killed In Early-Morning Wreck On Thrasher Pike

A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of Thrasher Pike early Saturday morning. Soddy Daisy Police Chief Phillip Hamrick said a female passenger was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to Erlanger Hospital by LifeForce helicopter about 3:15 a.m. The driver was transported by Hamilton County EMS. It is believed he had non-life threatening injuries. ... City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge. The City Council on Tuesday is to consider a resolution to apply for a $25 million federal TIGER grant. The city would still have to come up with $21,825,000 through "local funds or grants."
