Red Bank Baptist To Host Money Map Seminar Sept. 28-29

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

Red Bank Baptist Church will host Money Map Seminar, a live event sponsored by Crown Financial Ministries, on Sept. 28 and 29. The seminar provides a live, personalized, fast-paced experience on how God intersects with money and family lives. It combines biblical principles of money management with practical applications.

“Practical steps are provided on how to avoid or eliminate debt and how to establish a plan to properly manage resources,’’ said Patti Harris, Crown Financial Ministries local director.

The Money Map Seminar will be presented by Dave Scobey, a trained seminar instructor from GainesvilleGeorgia, in a lecture-style format. Participants will learn how to manage money in practical ways by applying God’s wisdom. This process will result in a personalized plan for managing finances, while deepening understanding of possessions, stewardship and faithfulness.

The Crown Money Map Seminar will be held on Friday, September 28 from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, September 29 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The cost is $25 per person.  Snacks and a workbook will be provided.

“The updated format has been streamlined into an information-packed, fun learning experience with over 15 video clips and other multimedia teaching tools,’’ Mr. Scobey said. “This is a basic seminar to lay the biblical foundation of why we should manage money, how to set up a plan and debt repayment decisions. We look at major mistakes people make and remedies.’’

Regardless of age and income, the seminar presents a concise yet comprehensive view of money management based on the Bible, according to Mr. Scobey. “By the end of the seminar, participants will be more confident and better equipped to make decisions about their financial goals,” he said.

Pre-registration is required for the seminar. To register, call Red Bank Baptist at 877-4514 . The church is located at 4000 Dayton Blvd.
