Omar Minhas Selected To Judge Chile Cheerleading National Championship

Chattanoogan, Omar Minhas , will be traveling to Santiago, Chile in late October to judge the Chile Cheerleading National Championships. Only six judges from around the world are selected for this event each year.  

Mr. Minhas is all too familiar with these types of notable events. The last four years he has judged the largest event of its kind, The Cheerleading Worlds in Orlando, which aires on ESPN each spring. He has judged over 20,000 routines over the past seven years.

Mr. Minhas cheered at McCallie School and Vanderbilt University before moving to Columbus, Ohio, where he was appointed the director of Staffing for the national cheerleading company, COA Cheer and Dance. Now back in Chattanooga for the past seven years, and at the age of 32, his reputation, industry knowledge and connections have brought him to the forefront of the industry. 

Mr. Minhas noted, “I am very excited about the opportunity to travel to Chile and judge their National Competition. I am also very proud to be representing Chattanooga and look forward to working with such a distinguished panel of professionals.”



Sobriety Checkpoints Set For May 31

Holiday Schedule Announced For Dalton-Whitfield Solid Waste Authority

Four Dalton-Whitfield Solid Waste Authority facilities will be closed on Monday, in observance of Memorial Day.  Locations include the Old Dixie Landfill and Convenience Center, McGaughey Chapel Convenience Center, Westside Convenience Center, and the M.L. City Council Ad Hoc Committee To Study Moving Elections To August, Adding More Districts, Staggering Terms

Chief Magistrate Russell Says Ables Should Have Waited To Sign Warrant For Teen Beer Bust
