Chattanooga Police said a witness reported seeing 24-year-old LeMario Rashard Branham with blood on his face and shirt following the murder of Kenyeta Tramble, who was shot and killed on Saturday night at East Lake Courts.

Ms. Tramble was shot in the face and killed on her back porch at 2213 E 25th Street Court.

Witnesses said they saw two black males approach Ms. Tramble's apartment. At least one of the men was described as being of average height and a muscular build.

Witnesses told of seeing the two men get into a disorder with someone in the doorway of Ms. Tramble's apartment. They then heard a gunshot and saw Ms. Tramble fall to the ground.

One witness said Branham, with blood on him, ran from the unit. The witness said Branham was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

Branham told police he was with his girlfriend, Shaneil Brewer, at the time of the murder and was not at East Lake Courts. Police said Ms. Brewer gave a conflicting story.

Branham is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail and has been charged with criminal homicide.

Branham has an extensive record, including an aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping in 2004 and a first-degree murder charge in 2007 in the death of Larry Parks. He got a six-year sentence for manslaughter.
