The City of Chattanooga’s Wood Recycling and Compost Center will be offering free wood chips for the next 90 days. The offer is extended to all city and non-city residents, contractors, businesses, and persons-for-hire beginning Sept. 13, and ending on Dec. 11. Employees at the Wood Recycling Center will load wood chips and leaf compost onto any size truck or trailer. All loads must be covered by a tarp prior to leaving the facility.
The Wood Recycling Center is at 3925 N.
Hawthorne Street in Chattanooga and is open Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. and Saturday, from 8 a.m.–3 p.m.
