Freshman Caroline Couch Has 18 Aces In 25-0 JV Victory

The Silverdale Baptist Academy Lady Seahawks improved to 17-7 overall and 4-0 in District 5-A with a 3-0 victory over visiting Copper Basin Thursday afternoon.

With Mackenzie Harris leading the way with 12 kills, 10 digs and seven aces, the Lady Seahawks prevailed easily by scores of 25-8, 25-8 and 25-10.

Katelyn Couch had 29 assists for the winners while Kerri Whittaker finished with 14 digs and 10 aces.

Freshman Caroline Couch had a memorable experience in the junior varsity match as she served 25-straight points, including 18 aces, as the Silverdale JVs posted a 25-0 shutout in one set.

Soddy Daisy improved to 18-10 overall and 5-2 in District 5-AAA with a 3-0 victory over visiting Rhea County.  The Lady Trojans prevailed by scores of 25-14, 26-24 and 25-21.

Alex Schafer had a dozen kills in addition to 30 digs while Hannah Robertson had 35 digs and Chloe Mitchell 33 assists.

Lauren Smith was also active with 39 digs and eight kills, in addition to three aces.

Christian Pineda Signs With Dalton State
