Heard Charged After Police Say He Pawned Stolen Goods

Titus Lebron Heard, 23, has been arrested after police say he pawned stolen goods taken in a break-in in April 2011.

Heard, of 3015 Towerway Dr., was charged with aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000.

Mitchell Harwell reported a residential burglary at his residence on Highland Terrace. Items taken included a Kodak digital camera.

An officer located the camera at Household Pawn Shop, 1904 E. 23rd St.

Police said the camera was pawned by Heard the same day of the burglary.

Erlanger Health System, which reported a major loss last month, cut the loss to $249,056 for April. Kevin Spiegel, new president and CEO, said admissions were up, but the hospital did not control its operating costs as well as it should. Baylor's Popp Wins First Spring Fling State Title

 Baylor sophomore Selena Popp won the Division II girls pentathlon Monday afternoon in Murfreesboro.  It is the first state championship of the 2013 Spring Fling.  Popp won the 100 meter hurdles and the high jump.  She edged out Evangelical Christian School's Kate Jamison by one point.   Teammate Victoria Wicks was third and Kate Kaufman was fifth.  ... State Soccer Brackets Released

The state tournament brackets were released early Sunday morning.  In Class A/AA Notre Dame will face off with White House at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday East Hamilton drew Christ Presbyterian Academy on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.   White House is currently ranked fourth in the state wide Eurosport rankings.  Notre Dame is seventh and Notre dame is seventh.
