Tennessee's Fall Season Is Highlighted With Travel Package Giveaway

Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - by Melanie Beauchamp

Tennessee Department of Tourist Development launched its fall site fall.tnvacation.com. This year’s highlight is a “Fabulous Fall Contest,” designed to drive website traffic and social media engagement and promote fall travel to Tennessee. The strikingly-designed fall micro-site encourages visitors to experience “Fall Favorites in Tennessee.”

Tennessee in the fall is one of the country’s premiere destinations for leaf peeping, with color typically beginning in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Northeast Tennessee and the Chattanooga region in early October and cascading across the state until Thanksgiving.

Not to be missed, the Fabulous Fall Contest can all be found on the fall site. The prize includes a stay at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel in Nashville, $100 gift card to Opry Mills Mall, dinner for four at Loveless Café, and passes to Nashville area attractions provided by the Nashville CVB through the “Backstage Pass.” To enter, simply fill out the form located at www.fall.tnvacation.com/contest/, with complete rules available at fall.tnvacation.com.

Visitors to the “Fall Favorites in Tennessee” site can find the latest on Fall Fairs & Festivals such as The National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Unicoi County Apple Festival, Granville Fall Celebration, 38th Annual Mountain Makins Festival in Morristown, Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue in Lynchburg, 41st Rugby Pilgrimage, Bristol Rhythm and Roots, Tennessee Fall Homecoming in Clinton and Reelfoot Arts and Crafts Festival.

In addition, search the state’s corn mazes, pumpkin patches, pick-your-own and hayrides through Farm Frolics. Find all things outdoors by visiting Nature and Outdoors. Suggested arts, crafts, antiques, shopping, wineries, breweries and distilleries can be found via Treasure Troves.

Week by week Tennessee fall foliage reports may be found through the Leaf Report tab or by calling the Fall Color Forecast Information line at 800 697-4200.
