Chattanooga State Softball To Start Fall Instructional Lesson Program

Sunday, September 02, 2012

Chattanooga State Head Coach Beth Keylon-Randolph announced the first-ever Softball Fall Instructional Lesson Program offered to the public.

Fresh off coaching Tiger softball to the 2012 Softball National Championship, Keylon-Randolph has designed a 12 week Softball Instructional Lesson Program for girls ages 5-20 that will be weekly, on Monday and Tuesday evenings, starting on Sept. 3 and ending Nov. 27.

Each one hour session will start at 6, 7 or 8 p.m. with a charge of $20 for each hour.  “What makes this program unique is that students can chose the number of hours they want and can choose any and all softball skills they want to work on,” said Coach Randolph.  “And it is designed as a pay as you go program.  Meaning you do not pay in advance but rather you pay when you arrive for your lesson.”

"Arrive 10 minutes before the start time that you choose, register for that night and let the fun and learning begin.

"Keylon-Randolph has designed and formatted each lesson plan that will be taught and will utilize her national championship softball players to teach each lesson.  All instruction is on the campus of Chattanooga State at Tiger Softball Field and will provide a great opportunity for young girls to be on a college campus and help serve as motivation to want to attend college and to also play collegiate softball."

She said, “I am excited about the positive impact this program can have on the community and what it can do for Chattanooga State and the softball program. All the proceeds from the lessons will help in the area of scholarships, operations and team travel.

"Pre-registration will help facilitate the initial organization of the program.  As soon as possible, please text your daughter’s name and age to (423) 400-3103 with your commitment to start the program.  Additionally you can request a detailed brochure by texting your email to (423) 400-3103 or email steve.jaecks@chattanoogastate.edu  and a brochure will be emailed to you."
