Two men who now live in Kansas City have been brought back to Hamilton County to face charges in a 2003 stabbing at a parking lot on Gunbarrel Road.
Facing attempted first-degree murder charges are Cosme Monroy Hernandez, 37, and Juan Carlos Hernandez, 30. They both gave the same address.
Police said Jose Alberto Valle Pena and Espinoza Rigan were sitting in the Lowes parking lot when two vehicles pulled up and several Hispanic males got out.
The men pulled off their belts and started to hit the victim with the belt buckles, a police report says. Cosme Hernandez helped hold the victim down while Juan Hernandez stabbed him, it was stated.
The report says the knife barely missed the victim's heart.
He was transported to Erlanger Hospital.
