A man has been arrested after he allegedly pointed a gun at an employee of Republic Parking.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team executed a warrant at approximately 12:30 p.m. Thursday at 13608 Jones Gap Road.
Authorities said the arrest of Phillip Dale Ellis stems from the parking lot incident in which he allegedly drove through the parking gate after displaying the gun.
During the commission of the arrest and while securing the residence, deputies said they observed what appeared to be marijuana plants. HCSO Narcotics detectives were notified and responded to the scene. A search warrant was obtained for the property and a large amount of marijuana plants were found along with the equipment used to assist growing marijuana.
Ellis was transported to the Hamilton County Jail where he was charged with aggravated assault, vandalism, manufacturing marijuana and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
