The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) has become the latest organization to sign on to the Wild Hog Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency hosted a signing event on Tuesday afternoon at its Nashville office.

Commissioner Bob Martineau signed the MOU for TDEC. With the addition of TDEC, the Wild Hog MOU partnership has now grown to 20 organizations. The Wild Hog MOU is an agreement between organizations to work cooperatively toward controlling wild hogs in Tennessee.

The partnership’s goals are to stop the illegal transportation and translocation of wild hogs, increase outreach efforts and assist landowners with wild hog problems. The coalition includes organizations representing agriculture, conservation, public health, and hunting.
