Letters To God Night At White Oak Baptist

White Oak Baptist Church, 310 Memorial Drive, is planning a Letters to God Night on Sunday, Sept. 30, beginning at 5 p.m. to begin praying for all children, preschool to high school, at the church. There will be a free dinner, fellowship and prayer for the children in the church, followed by a movie. You can stay and watch the movie, "Letters to God," or slip out but join in prayer before you leave.

Activities will take place in the Darrell and Dean Newman Fellowship Hall. Bring a comfortable chair to watch the movie. We will serve hambugers and the fixings plus popcorn to enjoy while waching the movie. You will be invited to take home a prayer pack wih the name and picture of one of the children to coninue to pray for them. A head count is needed in order to prepare food so RSVP by Wednesday, Sept. 26, with the reservaton request form to the church office.

Dr. Tony Wilson will speak at the 10:45 a.m. worship service on Sunday on "The Most Important Question," with text from John 11:25-27 and at 6 p.m. on "Stirring Up the Dust," with Acts 6:1-7 as text.


St. Timothy's Holds Family Mission Camp

St. Timothy's will hold its 2nd Annual Family Mission Camp from Monday, June 17 through Thursday, June20. There will be food, fun, and growing together.  Everyone is invited to attend. (click for more)

Woman Killed In Early-Morning Wreck On Thrasher Pike

A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of Thrasher Pike early Saturday morning. Soddy Daisy Police Chief Phillip Hamrick said a female passenger was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to Erlanger Hospital by LifeForce helicopter about 3:15 a.m. The driver was transported by Hamilton County EMS. It is believed he had non-life threatening injuries. ... City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge. The City Council on Tuesday is to consider a resolution to apply for a $25 million federal TIGER grant. The city would still have to come up with $21,825,000 through "local funds or grants."
