Soddy-Daisy, Silverdale, CCS Post Volleyball Wins

The Ooltewah Lady Owls took a 2-0 lead in their District 5-AAA volleyball match at Soddy Daisy, but they fell to 19-9 overall and 6-3 in 5-AAA as the Lady Trojans came storming back to win the final three sets.

Ooltewah won the first two by scores of 25-22 and 25-18, but Soddy Daisy won the final three by scores of 25-17, 25-20 and 15-7.

Soddy Daisy is now 22-16 overall and 6-3 in 5-AAA.

SILVERDALE IMPROVED to 18-9 overall and 5-1 in District 5-A with a 3-0 victory over Grace Academy as the Lady Seahawks won by scores of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-16.

CHATTANOOGA CHRISTIAN improved to 15-11 overall and 4-2 in District 7-AA with a 3-0 victory at Sequatchie County.  The Lady Chargers prevailed by scores of 25-11, 25-12 and 25-21.

TBI was executing a narcotics search warrant at 6302Talladega Ave. in Chattanooga on Friday and uncovered a dog fighting operation. City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge.
