The Web Marketing Association has honored BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee with an Outstanding Website Award for its BlueAccess member portal.
BlueAccess features a personalized welcome page, benefit information and claims details, health and wellness messages, and a provider directory that includes doctors and facilities from across the country. The new design and features were developed to support BlueCross’ three million members in actively managing their health care.
“We’re honored to accept this award from the Web Marketing Association in recognition of BlueAccess,” said Trevin Bernarding, director of eBusiness development. “The site provides our members with a superior user experience and makes it easier for them to make informed decisions about health and wellness.”
The Web Marketing Association has been setting the standard for Internet marketing and development of the best websites since 1997. Each year, the WebAwards Competition receives entries from 96 industries, and awards are given to the companies or organizations with the best websites. BlueCross was one out of five winners for Outstanding Website in the insurance category.
Judges use a point system to rate the websites by the following seven criteria: design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting and ease of use.
This year’s WebAwards Competition featured more than 2,000 entries from 42 countries. For a complete list of winners, visit www.webaward.org.
