Koko Fit Club’s First Chattanooga Location Opens On Gunbarrel Road

Friday, September 21, 2012

Koko Fit Club has opened at 2275 Gunbarrel Road providing personal training.

Clients come to the Koko Fit Club facility for an initial consultation that determines challenges and goals for the individual.  Working with the patented Koko Smartraining System, specific information is downloaded onto a thumb drive.  Once the thumb drive is inserted into one of the club’s exercise machines, individual information is provided to coach the client through individually determined exercise plans.  Each session lasts 29 minutes and encourages the client through a series of exercises developed to meet his or her needs.

Koko Fit Club also provides a no “gym scene," as well as specific plans designed for breast cancer survivors, those suffering from arthritis as well as other illnesses that may preclude the client from typical workouts.

Local franchisee Ron Nichols said, “Koko provides all of the thinking for the client.  All you have to do is come in, follow your personal program and walk away stronger, leaner and healthier than you’ve ever been.”

Mr. Nichols noted that he opened similar facilities in Nashville and has seen such success that he is planning to open a second facility in Chattanooga in Winter 2013.

“What we’ve found is that “circuit” training works well for everyone," said Mr. Nichols.  "Each workout is precisely programmed to make sure that the proper pace, exercise order and workload are incorporated to meet individual needs.  Because of this, our clients get leaner, stronger and healthier in a much shorter amount of time."

Koko Fit Club currently operates in 25 states and has six locations in Tennessee.  Those interested in learning more about the facility can do so by calling 855-7511; by visiting www.ChattanoogaGB.KokoFitClub.com; or, by stopping by the facility for an initial visit.

The Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting at Koko Fit Club on Wednesday at 4 p.m.  The public is invited to attend.

During my quest this week for jokes and funny stories that would brighten my day, a surprising number of friends sent me hilarious samples of “fox-hole humor” and it made perfect sense. It was the most famous Marine – Chesty Puller – who once announced to his troops in Korea, “All right, they're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind ...
