Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park: Come out to Sycamore Shoals on Saturday and Sunday, for the Overmountain Victory Trail celebration, beginning at 10 a.m. (ET) each day.  Join the park for an Overmountain militia encampment, setting the stage for the Battle of King's Mountain in 1780. Live some of the most crucial days of the American Revolution.

Tims Ford State Park:  The Tims Ford Environmental Education Association will be hosting its annual Birds of Prey program at Tims Ford State Park, including a nature walk with State Naturalist Randy Hedgepath and a LIVE birds program.  The event is presented by SOAR (Save our American Raptors) and is a great opportunity to have an up-close encounter with live eagles, hawks, and owls.
