Soddy-Daisy Goes 5-0 In CSI Invitational

The Soddy-Daisy volleybal team went 5-0 Saturday in their own Chattanooga Select Invitational (CSI).

In the finale, Soddy-Daisy beat Franklin High School 25-8, 23-25, 15-9.  Central was 3-1 on the day with their only loss coming against Soddy-Daisy 25-20, 25-17.  Central also beat Franklin by scores of 25-17, 28-30, 15-4.

This year's event had 9 varsity teams and 7 j.v. teams. The J.V. team champion was Soddy Daisy.
Participating teams included Soddy Daisy, Chattanooga Central, Franklin, Warren County, McMinn County, Brainerd, Sequoyah, Chattanooga Patriots, and Sequatchie County.

Robertson Leading At Signal Mountain

Matt Robertson shot 2-under 69 on Friday and took the opening-round lead in the 77th Signal Mountain Inviational a the Signal Mountain Golf and Country Club.   In the field of 129 players, Robertson leads by one stroke over Riley Davidson. Man Stabbed To Death After Argument

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night. At approximately 11 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a stabbing at 101 E 20 th St. where they found the victim, Alexis Lewis, 51, lying on the walkway with a fatal stab wound to his chest.
