Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will waive the entrance fee to enter Point Park on top of Lookout Mountain on Saturday, to encourage everyone to enjoy the majestic views found in the nation’s first national military park.
All 397 national parks will offer free entrance on Saturday, for National Public Lands Day. More than 170,000 volunteers are expected at more than 2,100 sites across the country to take part in restoring the lands and facilities the public uses for recreation, education, exercise and connecting with nature. National Public Lands Day is an opportunity to celebrate the majesty of our open spaces.
