RoHo #1 took place at GPS on Friday with proceeds going to the Northside Neighborhood House where a number of girls volunteer with the afterschool program. GPS fundraising for area non-profits changed last year from a week-long event to one day per quarter, with a specific goal for an area or international agency.
Students bought tickets for face painting, cookie decorating, a cakewalk and a photo booth. Sales of sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A and Papa John’s pizza raised money, as did desserts from All Things Dipped.
The blue, black, and white teams in the Middle School filled Jazzy Jars with candy corn, miniature candy bars, and lots of other edible and non-edible treats and gifts to raise money for the program as well.
