The Volunteers’ home clash with Xavier on Saturday, Dec. 29 will be televised nationally on ESPNU. That game is set to tipoff at 6 p.m. ET.

ESPN2 will carry Tennessee’s home tilt with in-state rival Memphis on Friday, Jan. 4. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. ET.

Fox Sports Net has selected to televise UT’s home game against Oakland Monday, Nov. 26, as well as Tennessee’s home contest vs. Western Carolina on Friday, Dec. 21. Both of those game will tipoff at 7 p.m. ET.

It also was confirmed that Tennessee’s SEC/Big East Challenge game at Georgetown on Friday, Nov. 30, will be televised nationally on ESPN (had previously been set for either ESPN or ESPN2).

The possibility remains that some or all of Tennessee’s three remaining non-televised home games could be selected for telecast by one of UT’s regional television partners.

The Vols are currently set to play in at least 25 televised games this season, including at least 15 national TV appearances.

PUERTO RICO TIP-OFF MOVES TO BAYAMON

ESPN announced Monday that the 2012 Puerto Rico Tip-Off will be played at the Coliseo Ruben Rodriquez in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Nov. 15, 16 and 18.

This is the first year that the tournament will be held in the City of Bayamón, as it previously has taken place in the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan. No reason was given for the venue change.

Bayamón is located approximately 20 km (12 miles) from San Juan. The venue change should not affect fans who have purchased team travel packages, as the Vols are still booked to stay at the Conrad San Juan Condado Plaza, which serves as the tournament’s official headquarters.

“The City of Bayamon and the Coliseo Ruben Rodriquez have both embraced this event and are very excited to be hosting the sixth annual Puerto Rico Tip-Off,” said ESPN Regional Television (ERT) vice president Dan Shoemaker.

The Puerto Rico Tip-Off is one of several collegiate basketball tournaments/events owned and operated by ERT.

Tennessee is joined in the 2012 Puerto Rico Tip-Off field by Akron, UMass, UNC Asheville, NC State, Oklahoma State, Penn State and Providence.
