Two Save A Lot employees were robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday night, and one was struck in the face with a gun.
Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the grocery at 6925 Middle Valley Road at approximately 9:30 p.m. on a robbery from person. When deputies arrived they found that two employees who had closed the store for the night were walking to their vehicles when they were approached by the suspect.
The suspect, who was described as a light-skinned black male driving a gold Saturn with a factory spoiler, pulled up to them and exited his vehicle. He was wearing all black that included a black hoodie with a hat pulled low over his eyes. He was described as, 5’ 9” and weighing approximately 120 pounds.
The suspect pointed a handgun wrapped in a blue cloth at the victims and then hit the male employee in the face with the weapon. The employee dropped the cash bag at that time and the suspect grabbed the bag and left the scene traveling southbound on Middle Valley Road.
