One person is dead and another in the hospital after a double shooting at 3412 Jones St. Tuesday night.
Chattanooga Police officers responded at 10:48 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds and one victim with minor abrasions from broken glass. Cary Abram, 27, and a female victim were transported to the hospital. Abram was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The victims said that they were sitting in a vehicle smoking marijuana in front of the residence when unknown parties began shooting at the vehicle.
Abram lived at the location of the shooting with his brother, Cory Abram. Both brothers were arrested in Saturday’s saturation for drug possession and have past records indicating involvement in drug trafficking, police said.
Police said the shooting appears to be drug/money related with no connection to gang activity. The case is pending and the investigation is continuing.
